Well kids, its been a lonnnnnnnnng and bumpy Romanian road......with mannnnnnnny set backs and re do's and blah blah freakin blah blah....BUTT! ITS DONE!

Officially fucking complete and ready for mass production.
The final version of the HORSE the band, EARTH TOUR book has been sent to our beloved publisher, for print. The EARTH TOUR DVD's are all edited perfectly, and sent off for mass copying.
The hand made covers for BOOK! will be done in a matter of days.
And then, it will all beautifully come together in holy matrimony, and live happily ever after in the homes of its rightful owners, who made the choice to purchase this rare vision of torture and pleasure, harmoniously married by artistic vision, and passion. In hopes of translating to the viewer as an accomplishment both victorious and pointless......or whatever.

I learned so so so so so so so much....and now have this crazy chunk of my life to share with the world, boasting the most memorable and ridiculous adventure my life will ever know.

What did it all mean? Did it change me? Do I give a fuck?
Not really. I'm just glad I got to be a part of it, its done and that I'm not fat anymore.

The Elephant Man

Man. I watched this documentary tonight about this 26yr old man from China, who has elephantiasis. He has gone through life carrying his unrecognizable face in his arms, and being looked after by his parents. He has left his home twice in his life because he doesn't want people to be scared of him or laugh. He mumbled through folds of skin that all he wished for was that he could live long enough to look after them when they grow old and need to be cared for. He didn't wish for the tumor to be gone, or for his face to be normal, or to be dead.
It made me feel horrible.
Here I am, feeling like I'm going through life struggling, and feeling like I have nothing....and there he is. Wishing for a longer existence to serve his duty as a son, and feeling happy from the little things.

I am humbled and shamed by his selfless outlook on life.
I hope his wish comes true.

This weekend was cool. Erik came on Friday to watch and finalize the EARTH TOUR DVD with Gary....So I went over and spent 2 days there, to help go thru it......
and lemme tell ya, it is the most tragic, amazing, depressing, enlightening piece of visual footage I have ever and will ever witness.
It is so brutally RAW and honest, showing each character uniquely and accurately to the point of humiliation and regret...lol.

It is going to be something you will have to see to believe...and I am in the works of making the photobook that the DVDs will live in.....

I walked from commercial street-home so I could save 2.50$
I was carrying all my camera gear. plus I burrowed Rachels light, so I had two.
I just finished a long but fun shoot. I was lost in my ipod.
It was past midnight.
I now realize as I read that back, I coulda easily been robbed by someone more desperate than me.....

anyways, a song came on my ipod, and I liked it... It woke up the creative region of my brain, and ideas rushed from it like a pack of rabid 12 year olds that just spotted that dude from Twilight......(but not nearly as desperate or annoying).....anyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyways.....

So I took this as a positive and motivating sign.....
That even tho lately I feel kinda dead and pathetic, there is a song on my Ipod that strangely enough was by the client I just finished shooting, and it re lit a fire that had been extinguished for a month or so.

And now, in no particular order, the reasons I love HORSE the band.

1. EARTH tour....these guys brought me on their 3 month, 43 country world tour, after only meeting me once, to take photos of the madness that was EARTH tour.
2. They flew me to LA to shoot their promo photos for 'Desperate Living'
3. They put on the BEST live shows I've ever seen. and ive seen them play like 80 times.
4. They like having fun, and are all so insanely different it means its never the same twice.
5. They are taking me with them on November 30th for 2 weeks, for their tour with Norma Jean....!!!!
6. They are my friends.

This is a much needed escape for ol' ploppy poo...
Vancouver is making me S.A.D

The craziest 5 min dream

So I just woke up from a 5 min nap.
It started out normally.....I waltzed into my room to say hi to Bubs my cat....I lie down next to her and BOOM! Im thrust into this dream.

I entered a room with music playing out of it. It turned out to be a small kitchen, but there was supposedly a shceduled dj night there......I see 5 friends I know...not good friends...some I've never even met, but just familiar faces....all guys....all wearing tuxedo T-shirts....I said to them 'Whaaaat!!! Why didnt anyone tell me that you were gonna all wear ur tux shirts? I woulda worn mine!' I was very dissapointed to not be in on the plan. Then I was instantly in another room. This one was bigger, not much to it tho. And somehow between the kitchen and this room, I had gotten EXTREEEEEEEEMELY stoned. Like I felt it in the dream. A girl I don't know approached me, and started asking me questions about my photos. I think she wanted to hire me....but I was too stoned to listen, even tho I could hear her talking....with her voice acting as background music, I travelled from the 2 rooms, noting what was going on in each, until I realized she had stopped talking, and was waiting for me to respond. I kinda came to and apolagized, stating how stoned I was.....she said 'oh.' Then my vision blurred, and I had an out of body experience in the dream. I could hear her talking to her friend, and I could see the whole scene....even me. She was saying 'this chick is the photo girl I was telling you about, but she's really fucked up right now' I tried to respond, but couldnt. So frustrated, I left the room and floated to the kitchen...which was a lot bigger now....and now there was a whole camera crew in there.....and I saw myself....still stoned....wearing a blonde wig and my nerdy black glasses....lens free.....I heard them talking about how I was to be interviewed for my photos...and the feeling of sheer horror filled me, knowing that I was about to blow my 'big debut' with my inebriated state.

then I woke up.

that was 5 mins.

Then, for reasons unknown to me, they wound up at a thrift store.
And there Santa waited.

But there he was.

Guess I was still mad about him never coming to my house.

What better way to bond with pals than setting up the ol tripodular, and making any scenario you dream up in ur head come to life....
When you have a remote for your camera (or someone elses) the possibilities and fun are literally endless....... literally.

First, I painted ol snockerton himself....he has 3 heads....kinda like lori and dori...with the new edition..... tori.

Then Swilsonian painted me, I thought outside the box and acted out something that isnt true to character in the least........bwaahhaahaha....it isnt.
oh and may I add that he did a fantabulous job of proper exposure....jolly good swillsss, jolly. good.

Next up was Swillsonian.....I took the torch (flashlight) and painted this piece.....His tribute and reenactment to living with allergies......an unfortunate ailment that causes great sorrow and pain is nothing short of gripping.......le tear, le tear.....

This final installment was the teams final attempt at creating an image so powerful that most wouldnt even know what it was.....one worthy of the title, 'The slow jerk'......I encourage you to click on this photo,enlarge and note the awesome illusion of 'floating teeth' we achieved in this tri masterpiece of beauty and originality.

ohhhhhhhh and by the faaaakin way,
did you realize that 10yr olds are now dressing 'hip', stealing your smokes, and sporting cleavage and bad attitudes? Well they are.

Erik is in Canada!
He's here for 2 weeks to work on the EARTH tour DVD with Sir Gary.
He cut all his hair off cuz he was bored.
I went over yesterday and cooked a caveman meal.... consisting of porkchops, applesauce, spinach and asparagus. Then we went for a night bike cruise to 4 bro's. Ate pizza, and acted Canadian.

I wasnt gonna post this. I didn't know if it was something I wanted to share with a lot of ppl. Cuz it was reallllllly unsettling and unexplainable....which led me to want to post it, cuz I need answers. Or at least acknowledgement.

with that being said, I will recap what I saw early monday morning, riding my bike home from Matt and Wilsons....it was about 4am....it was the in between stages of night and day...that grey light time. I rode my bike down 10th, and when I got to Kingsway...I stopped to check for cars. No cars. But my attention was quickly adverted to what was crossing the street ahead of me. An animal. And the first thought that raced thru my head was 'there's a monkey walking across the street'. I repeated this in my head and then asked 'why the fuck is there a monkey walking across the street in the middle of Vancouver?' It walked hunched over its legs. It was walking on 2 feet. It was walking very slow. It didn't seem to notice the 28 crows cawing their brains out in the trees overhead. Its pace never quickened or slowed. it didnt notice me sitting on my bike across the street, confused and staring. It was about 3 feet tall? I member thinking it looked big...far too big to be a raccoon. It looked as if it was either carrying something or had been injured. When it was almost finished crossing....i remembered I had my new mini vid cam...I scrambled to open my bag, and it was hard to open it with all the crows losing their minds and sketching me out...not to mention the monkey. When I finally got it out and taping, it was nearing the end of its exposure...I panicked. And got what I like to call 'saskquatch footage...shakey...quick....and disturbing. I got home and uploaded it, and then slowed it down a whole bunch....
this is the full video...slowed down....and zoomed in.....i suggest you pause it when he is visible, and help me figure out what the fuck it is....it looks sooooo much smaller than it was in real life.

help me solve the monkey mystery.

For some bizarre reason, the dream I had last night popped into my head a minute ago, and since I couldnt find a pen, whoever reads this phlog, is gonna hafta tolerate this...cuz its just too fucked up for me to dismiss.

I dreampt about being at this mall...but the mall was a camp....like a religious one.
One I definately didnt wanna be at....but Gary was there, and so was Erik. I member sneaking away from my side of the arena to say hi, and they'd do the same. But the most unsettling part was when Obama entered the scene. He was.......'overly' friendly to me, and I soon found his hand up my dress, and I pushed him away, cuz i mean, he's just not my type....not to mention the whole 'president' thing...i felt weird. I member letting him follow me around cuz I felt bad telling him I wanted him to leave me alone....when he finally got the hint, we hugged, and it was so horribly awkward and I didnt know what to do next, so I kinda half kissed him on the cheek, but then he did the kiss trick, and turned his head super fast to try to kiss me on the mouth, and then I turned the opposite way and it was suuuuuper awkward.....and then he just kinda staggered off.

I woke up right after that....and it was time to get up.
I didnt think I'd forget it, but I did....all day.....until now.

For some reason I felt like I needed to document this dream. the weirdness of it.
Now Im not sure whats more unsettling, that, or the actual dream.

Tonight I thought I hadta work.
I got there and didnt.
woot.
So I came home. Did work on the computer for too long, then met up with Mott and Swilsonion....and then Greg came later, and we ate snox, and drank beers, and smoked mirages.
then we went back to their place and had a dance party, and morphed into hideous beings, thx to the settings on motts moc, ....and we recorded it...lol.
I stopped by ferts on the way home, she had presents for me!!!!!! Bubbles, party horns, twirly straws, my new duvet cover that she made for me!!! its amazing. and also.......new speakers for my computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wowie. So rad. ohhhh and also sparklers! So far my birthday has been fun fun fun!!

haha, I was reading through my baby book, and apparently I was born an angel....aahahahaha, okay fine, maybe just really considerate....

"When Sarah was 3 1/2, She woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. She came into our bedroom and told us she was going to the bathroom.She then proceeded to go. When she finished she came into our room again, this time she said she had a question to ask us.The question was this: 'Will it wake you up if I flush the toilet?' she then flushed the toilet as slowly as possible to avoid any disturbances."
